Tom Ciesielka and TC Public Relations

Tom Ciesielka, President of TC Public Relations, has worked as a publicist for more than 20 years.  Clients of TC Public Relations appear in media outlets such as: CNN, The New York Times, National Public Radio, USA Today, and Good Morning America.  Located on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, TC Public Relations serves book authors, law firms and entrepreneurial businesses in the Midwest and across the country.

TC Public Relations promotes best-selling authors such as Andrew Greeley, Larry Crabb and John Maxwell, and books from publishers such as Thomas Nelson, Moody, Integrity and Yale University Press. They also publicize civil rights and free speech cases for a number of individuals and churches.

Prior to starting his own public relations agency, Tom was the marketing director for the Museum of Broadcast Communications, where he produced and promoted exhibitions on the development of American soap operas, rock & roll music on television, and Walt Disney’s innovations in broadcasting.

He’s particularly proud that he’s represented both kings and queens. Andrea Nierenberg, a current client known as the “Queen of Networking” and Frank Yankovic, "America’s Polka King". In 1995, Tom won an Emmy Award for the national PBS documentary special he produced on Yankovic.

For the past four years, Tom has worked to integrate blogging into each media relations campaign. Multiple blog projects administered by Tom have garnered national media exposure from outlets such as the Associated Press.

A native of Philadelphia, Tom moved to Chicago in 1984 and currently lives with his wife on the North Side near Lincoln Square, which has been known to host impromptu tango performances.  When not getting clients top news coverage, he can be seen performing stand-up comedy at clubs around the city or as a clown at patient care facilities.
